Dealing with a Messy Roommate

                   Hi everyone! Following the past few blogs from before, I thought it would only be right to post a blog about dealing with the messy roommate of yours. I am sure that many of you know that your roommate is messy but just don't know how to approach the situation at hand. Here are a few ways to help you deal with a messy roommate. 


  • Approaching the Situation 
Approaching the situation can be hard for most people. It's easy to realize a problem, but it is not so easy to figure out ways to deal with the problem. Being that you are rooming with someone, it is important to be able to communicate with this other person. Communication makes the world go wrong, so this is probably the most important thing when approaching this issue. 
  • What do you say?
Now, what do you say to this person. When communicating with this person, remember to be nice and friendly. Don't order the person to clean up there mess. Suggest the act with a kind gesture. This should ensure a calm, non-tension conversation with your roommate.  
  • Coming to an agreement  
There are many ways that you can deal with coming up with a solution that not only suits your needs but your roommates needs as well. That messy roommate might have to break some bad habits and that might take a while, but something needs to be done. Even suggestions like taking turns take the trash out, or vacuuming every other day could be just what you need. Again, it has to be an agreement between the both of you and you both must do your part of the agreement.

How Much of a Messy Person Are You? (College Edition)               Rooming with someone can be quite a hassle. It’s even harder when that person you are rooming with is not a clean person.
